Full Membership

Doctoral degree in the behavioral, medical, or social sciences, involved in research in the field of psychopathy, and 2 first-authored peer-reviewed publications in psychopathy (biennial fees $150 US). To be considered for Full membership the sponsorship of two current full members is required (except for renewals). See the By-Laws for more in-depth information about Membership requirements. Emeritus Membership

Previous membership with SSSP and retirement from academic position (biennial fees $40 US).  See the By-Laws for more in-depth information about Membership requirements. Información en Español

Associate Membership

Researchers with a doctoral degree in the behavioral, medical, or social sciences, involved in research in the field of psychopathy who do not have 2 first-authored peer-reviewed publications (biennial fees $150 US). Affiliate Membership

Professionals interested in research in the field of psychopathy or in an area critical to the advancement of the understanding of psychopathy (biennial fees $150 US). They do not necessarily need to have 2 first-authored peer-reviewed publications. A letter of recommendation from at least one full member is required (except for renewals). Student Membership

Masters or doctoral level students involved in research in the field of psychopathy (biennial fees $40 US). A letter of recommendation from at least one full member is required (except for renewals). Student Affiliate Membership

Undergraduate students involved in research in the field of psychopathy (biennial fees $40 US). A letter of recommendation from the undergraduate research supervisor (except for renewals) indicating that the applicant is a registered student in good-standing who is doing research in the area of psychopathy.
